According to a report by Israel's state television KAN, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant held a phone call with his US counterpart Lloyd Austin.
Austin requested that Gallant inform the US about the latest developments before Israel takes any action in response to the Iranian attacks.
In a statement on the X social media platform, Gallant noted that he had explained Israel's defensive operations against the Iranian attack during the call, stating that they are "prepared to face any threat and are determined to defend their citizens."
The ministers have now held phone calls twice within the last 24 hours.

IRAN-ISRAEL TENSION
Israel had carried out an air strike on Iran's consulate building in Damascus on April 1. Seven people, including two generals from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, were killed in the attack.
Iran had announced that Israel's consulate attack meant an attack on its own territory and that they would retaliate. Israel, in turn, had stated that it would respond to Iran's attack.
Yesterday, Iran launched an attack on Israel with hundreds of kamikaze drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles.
Iran announced that some military targets had been hit, while Israel stated that most of the attacks were intercepted by air defense systems, though a missile did strike a military base in the south.
