Death toll from mpox rises to 610
It has been reported that the number of people who have lost their lives in the mpox outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has reached 610.

In a statement from the DRC Ministry of Health, it was shared that 35 more people have lost their lives due to mpox.
The statement indicated that the number of deaths due to the outbreak since the beginning of the year has reached 610, while the number of suspected cases is approaching 18 thousand.
In the DRC, children under the age of 10 account for 75 percent of the cases.
It is noted that the outbreak could increase with the opening of schools.
In Turkey, there are no reported cases as of yet.
