Ministry Spokesperson Ashraf al-Qudra stated in a written statement, "We could not count the deaths in Gaza today due to communication and internet outages."

EVERYONE AT THE HOSPITAL IS BEING TARGETED

Making statements regarding the consecutive attacks on Al-Shifa Hospital and its surroundings, al-Qudra noted that the situation at the hospital is at a "catastrophic level" and that the hospital has become exposed to Israeli attacks from all sides. Stating that there are dead and wounded lying on the ground at the entrance of Al-Shifa Hospital, al-Qudra said, "The hospital courtyard has turned into an arena for Israeli snipers and drones. The Israeli army is targeting everyone who moves."

Providing information that there are approximately 20 thousand people in the hospital, including displaced persons, medical staff, and the wounded, al-Qudra recalled that a baby kept in intensive care lost their life due to the insufficiency of life support equipment.

Al-Qudra noted that hospitals are in urgent need of medicine, fuel, and medical supplies.

LATEST SITUATION IN HOSPITALS

Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila had announced earlier in the day that "39 babies kept in intensive care at Al-Shifa Hospital are in life-threatening danger due to a lack of oxygen, and 1 baby has lost their life due to the aforementioned problem."

Al-Kaila stated that 20 out of 35 hospitals in Gaza have become inoperable since October 7 due to reasons such as Israeli attacks or the depletion of fuel.

Muhammad Abu Selmiye, the director of Al-Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip, had said that they would try to bury the accumulated bodies within the hospital complex due to the attacks by the Israeli army.

Al-Shifa Hospital and its surroundings have been bombed many times by the Israeli army, which claims it is the "headquarters of Palestinian armed groups."
