Death toll rises to 53 in attacks in Pakistan

The death toll from three separate attacks carried out by the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) at a police station, on a railway line, and on a highway in Pakistan has increased. Authorities stated that the number of people who lost their lives in the attacks has risen to 53.
The Pakistani army announced that 14 soldiers and police officers lost their lives and 21 attackers were killed in a clash during an attack on a highway where buses and trucks were targeted. Local officials stated that the attackers checked the passengers' IDs during the highway attack before shooting many of them and setting the vehicles on fire, noting that at least 23 people were killed. Authorities reported that at least 10 people lost their lives in the attack on the police station, and 6 people died in the attack on the railway bridge.
Due to the attack on the railway, rail traffic between Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province, and the rest of the country has been suspended. Railway official Muhammad Kashif stated that the attackers also carried out an attack on a railway connection leading to Iran.
The BLA claimed responsibility for the attacks, which they named "Haruf," and alleged that they had carried out other attacks that have not been confirmed by authorities. The BLA claimed that four suicide bombers carried out a suicide attack on a major base in the port region of Gwadar.

In a written statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated, "We strongly condemn the terrorist act that took place today in Pakistan's Balochistan province; we wish God's mercy upon those who lost their lives and extend our condolences to their families.
Turkey stands in full solidarity with the friendly and brotherly Government and people of Pakistan in their fight against terrorism," the statement said.
