'ABAYA' BAN IN EXAM HALLS
According to a report in BirGün, following the lifting of the mandatory abaya requirement and the subsequent gradual modernization process in Saudi Arabia, another surprising decision has been made. Under the new ruling, female students in Saudi Arabia are now prohibited from wearing abayas while entering exam halls.
The decision was made by the Education and Training Evaluation Commission of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Education. According to the new regulation, all female students must comply with school uniform regulations during exam periods.

Furthermore, while the decision bans entering exam halls in an abaya, it was announced that female students would still be expected to adhere to "moral standards" despite not wearing the garment.
The decision regarding female students was interpreted as "part of a series of reforms aligned with the 2030 vision, demonstrating Riyadh's support for women as an essential part of the Kingdom's strength."
On the other hand, in Afghanistan, the Taliban administration announced last year that it had banned university education for female students. The decision in question drew intense reactions from both male and female students in the country.
