Directive from Prince Salman regarding Turkey

According to the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Council of Ministers met in the capital, Riyadh, under the chairmanship of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

The Saudi Council of Ministers has authorized the relevant ministries to conclude agreements with Turkey in the fields of renewable energy and civil defense, while also approving a memorandum of understanding regarding cooperation between the two countries in the field of social services.

During the meeting, where regional and international developments were discussed, Saudi Arabia's support for the Gaza Peace Initiative was reiterated. It was noted that the initiative is a temporary structure established to end the attacks on the Gaza Strip and to facilitate the reconstruction of the region.

The meeting also addressed the memoranda of understanding and agreements signed by Saudi Arabia with friendly and brotherly countries.

In this context, the Council of Ministers authorized the Minister of Energy to negotiate and sign a draft agreement with the government of Turkey regarding renewable energy power plant projects.

The Council of Ministers also authorized the Minister of Interior to sign a memorandum of understanding with Turkey in the field of civil defense and protection, and approved the memorandum of understanding reached between Riyadh and Ankara in the field of social services.
