Earthquake in Indonesia: 6.1 according to initial reports
A 6.1-magnitude earthquake has been reported on the island of Java in Indonesia.

According to a statement by the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG), a 6.1-magnitude earthquake occurred in the morning hours.
The epicenter of the earthquake was reported to be 132 kilometers north of the city of Tuban in East Java province.
The statement noted that no loss of life or damage has been detected so far following the earthquake, which occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
There was fear of a tsunami following the earthquake, but the BMKG did not issue a tsunami warning.
