Earthquake in Japan

A 5.9-magnitude earthquake has occurred in the city of Kuji, located in Japan's Iwate Prefecture. 

In a statement made by the United States Geological Survey (USGS), it was reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was approximately 73 kilometers deep and 7 kilometers southwest of the city of Kuji. 

While no tsunami warning was issued following the earthquake, there have been no reports of loss of life or property damage.
