Electronic cigarette sales to be banned in France
The French National Assembly has unanimously passed a bill banning the sale of disposable electronic cigarettes.

According to reports in the national press, the bill submitted to the National Assembly by Republican MP Michel Lauzzana and Francesca Pasquini of the Ecologist Party received a 'yes' vote from all 104 deputies present during the session.
BAN TO BE IMPLEMENTED BY THE END OF SUMMER 2024
The adopted bill aims to ban the sale of disposable electronic cigarettes, also known as "Puff Bars." Following the European Commission's review of the bill within six months and its subsequent consideration by the Senate, the ban is expected to be implemented by the end of the summer of 2024.
RESTRICTIONS ON SMOKING ALSO TO BE INTRODUCED
Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne had previously pointed out in a statement on the matter that the use of disposable electronic cigarettes among youth under 18 was increasing, and she had brought up the idea of banning these cigarettes as part of the 'national anti-tobacco plan.' Borne emphasized that products marketed as having low tobacco content encourage young people to develop a 'smoking habit' and that this must be prevented.
French Minister of Health Aurelien Rousseau had also announced that smoking would be banned on beaches and in forests across the country.
