As the countdown continues for the presidential election to be held in the US on November 5, Republican Trump is trying to close the gap in election donations with his Democratic rival Kamala Harris with the support of billionaire businesspeople.
According to the latest data from the Federal Election Commission (FEC), American billionaire Musk transferred a total of 75 million dollars in donations to Trump's election campaign during the period covering July, August, and September.
Musk, who has expressed his open support for Trump many times and recently attended one of the Republican candidate's election rallies, played an important role in the increase in Trump's donations during the summer period.
On the other hand, it was noted that Republican Party supporters such as Miriam Adelson and Richard Uihlein, who have long provided strong support to Trump, also increased their donations to Trump during this period.
The Adelson family, known for their support for Israel and who made intense efforts for Trump to take steps in favor of Israel during his presidency in the 2016-2020 period, donated 95 million dollars to Trump during this process. Another billionaire businessperson, Uihlein, also donated a total of 50 million dollars to Trump's election campaign in the same period.
According to the latest FEC data, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris raised a total of 678 million dollars in the last 3-month period, while Republican Trump raised a total of 310 million dollars.
