Emphasis on Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb in message shared by Cem Gürdeniz: The limits of Western naval power are visible

In a German-language message reshared on the X account of retired Admiral Cem Gürdeniz, a striking assessment regarding the West's naval power via the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb was presented.

The post argued that despite the United States' vast military superiority, it is increasingly struggling to control strategic maritime routes and achieve its political objectives.

It was stated that for this reason, Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb have become the stages of a "historical transformation."

The message commented that the world order, which has been shaped in a Western-centric manner for approximately 500 years, is being replaced by a multipolar structure.

It was emphasized that in this new landscape, economic and industrial weight is increasingly shifting toward Asia.

The post also claimed that Israel is becoming an increasing burden for the U.S. in terms of its global position, while also assessing that the changing distribution of power is opening up geopolitical maneuvering space for Turkey.
