An eruption occurred at the Anak Krakatau Volcano, located on Anak Krakatau Island in Indonesia, at 23:07 local time. The volcano spewed lava between midnight and 06:00.
It was stated that the alert level for the volcano is at level 3, which includes an "alarm" status.
In a statement made by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), it was said, "There is no need for people to panic, but they need to remain vigilant."

Authorities warned local residents and tourists not to enter restricted areas and not to approach the volcano to watch or record the eruption.
At least 430 people lost their lives due to a tsunami that occurred following an eruption at the approximately 157-meter-high Anak Krakatau Volcano in December 2018.
