The leaders of Germany, France, the UK, and Poland are visiting Kyiv to call on Russia for a ceasefire and negotiations in Ukraine.

In his statement regarding the visit, French President Emmanuel Macron said, "A fair and lasting peace begins with a full and unconditional ceasefire. This is the proposal we support together with the United States. Ukraine accepted this on March 11. Russia is stalling, setting conditions, trying to gain time, and continuing its war of aggression. If Moscow continues to obstruct, we, as Europeans and in close coordination with the US, will increase the pressure. We welcome President Trump's call to take this step. Our unity is our strength. This is the meaning of this visit: we all want peace."
