European Parliament Turkey Rapporteur comments on Öcalan's call

The Imralı Delegation read the expected call text following their meeting with PKK terrorist organization leader Öcalan. In the text, which was read first in Kurdish and then in Turkish, Öcalan called for the PKK to lay down its arms. Öcalan's text included the phrases, "All groups must lay down their arms and the PKK must dissolve itself."

Following this, European Parliament Turkey Rapporteur Nacho Sanchez Amor stated that the call for disarmament by PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan is a historic step that is welcomed.
