Europeans demand Israel be excluded from the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris

With only days left until the month of Ramadan, public representatives from all over Europe gathered at the International Olympic Committee's headquarters in Lausanne to demand that Israel be excluded from the 2024 Olympic Games to be held in Paris.

From Turkey to England, from Sweden to Greece, Muslims, Christians, and Jews from at least 15 countries across the European continent came together to protest Israel.

In Gaza alone, more than 30 thousand civilians, most of whom are women and children, have lost their lives. Participants from all corners of Europe called on the International Olympic Committee to abandon its double standards despite pressure from abroad and to implement appropriate sanctions against the state committing genocide.

The participants issued a call: 'Do not be complicit in the Palestinian genocide. Ban Israel from the Olympics immediately.'

The participants expressed their hope that the call for Israel to be isolated within the International Olympic Movement would find support not only in Europe but among people of goodwill across all six continents.
