Explosion during search in Lebanon: 1 Israeli soldier killed

The Israeli army continues its operations within Lebanese borders despite the 10-day temporary ceasefire reached with Lebanon. In a statement released by the Israeli army, it was reported that an explosive device detonated yesterday while a search was being conducted at a location in the village of El-Jebbain in southern Lebanon.
It was announced that 1 soldier died and 3 soldiers were wounded in the incident. The wounded soldiers were stated to have been transported by helicopter to a hospital in northern Israel.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that the soldier who lost his life was a 48-year-old reserve warrant officer serving in the 226th Reserve Paratrooper Brigade.
The IDF noted that according to initial investigations, the explosive was not detonated remotely, and stated that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
