The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has launched an investigation into the leak of U.S. intelligence documents containing preparations for Israel's retaliatory attack on Iran.

In a statement issued by the FBI, it was stated, "The FBI is investigating the alleged leak of classified documents. We are working in close cooperation with our partners in the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community."

U.S. President Joe Biden stated in a press conference yesterday that he was "concerned" about the leak of the U.S. intelligence documents.

U.S. National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby stated yesterday that the U.S. administration is not certain how the documents, which were published on the social media application Telegram last week, were made public.

It is currently unknown whether the classified documents, which include analysis of satellite imagery regarding Israel's military activities, were leaked or obtained by hackers.
