"I thank Prime Minister Netanyahu for appointing me as Minister of Defense and for the trust he has placed in me. I accept this responsibility with a sense of duty for the security of the State of Israel and its citizens.
We will work together to achieve victory over our enemies and reach the goals of the war: we will ensure the return of all hostages as the most important mission, the destruction of Hamas in Gaza, the defeat of Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the containment of Iranian aggression," he said.
