First statement from Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu following hospital attack
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made a statement following the hospital attack in Gaza that killed at least 500 people. Netanyahu stated that Islamic Jihad is responsible for the attack.

In a statement posted on his social media account, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “The analysis of the Israel Defense Forces shows that rockets were fired by terrorists from Gaza and that these rockets passed very close to the hospital.
Intelligence from many sources in our possession indicates that Islamic Jihad is responsible for the failed rocket launch that hit the hospital.”

In a subsequent message, Netanyahu stated, “The whole world should know: It was the barbaric terrorists in Gaza, not the Israel Defense Forces, that attacked the hospital in Gaza. Those who brutally murder our children are also murdering their own children.”
The Israeli military had also claimed that “the explosion that occurred” at the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza “was caused by rockets fired by terrorists (Islamic Jihad).” The Turkish Presidency's Directorate of Communications had issued a statement denying the claim.
