First statement from the White House on the Biden-Netanyahu call: 'Direct and constructive'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a phone call with US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris during days when Israel is expected to retaliate against Iran's missile attack.

The Israeli press stated that the call lasted approximately 1 hour and noted that numerous high-level Israeli officials were also present during the conversation.

In a statement regarding the call, the White House used the words 'direct and constructive'.

Biden and Netanyahu last held a conversation on August 21.
