Stating that they also discussed the ongoing indirect nuclear talks between Iran and the US, Trump said, "We also talked about the fact that time is running out for Iran to make its decision regarding nuclear weapons and that this decision needs to be made as soon as possible. I told President Putin that Iran cannot possess nuclear weapons, and I think we agree on this.

President Putin stated that he would participate in the talks to be held with Iran and that he could help bring this matter to a quick conclusion. My view is that Iran is delaying its decision on this very important issue and that we need to get a definitive answer in a very short time," he said.
