Floods hit Austria
Due to flooding caused by heavy rainfall in Austria, numerous polling stations prepared for the European Parliament elections have been relocated to different areas.

Austria's southern state of Styria was hit by heavy rainfall yesterday, which triggered flooding.
The floods, which caused significant damage in the state, also affected the European Parliament (EP) elections held today.
Many polling stations prepared for the elections became inaccessible due to the flooding.
In the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district of the state, numerous polling stations were moved to different locations.
The changes were announced by local officials on social media.
800 RESCUE OPERATIONS BY TEAMS
As vehicles were swept away by floodwaters, many buildings also sustained damage. Fire department teams stated that 800 rescue operations were carried out in the state capital of Graz and its surrounding areas alone, and at least 50 people were rescued from life-threatening situations.
A highway near Graz was closed due to mud and debris carried by rainwater. Strong winds caused numerous trees to fall, bringing traffic to a standstill.
Fire department units in the region remain on high alert as rainfall continues in the state today.
