Security camera footage has emerged regarding the armed attack at the Frankfurt Central Train Station, where a 27-year-old Turkish citizen lost his life.

In the footage, it is seen that the 54-year-old Turkish assailant approached the 27-year-old victim from behind, shot him in the head, and continued to fire at the victim after he fell to the ground.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Gunshots were heard at the Frankfurt Central Train Station around 21:00 local time, and a 54-year-old Turkish citizen shot a 27-year-old Turkish citizen in the head at platform 9 of the station.

The young man who was attacked lost his life at the scene, and the assailant, who attempted to flee the scene, was apprehended at another platform.

While the motive for the attack is not yet known, the detained assailant is expected to appear before a judge today.
