The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reacted to the airstrikes carried out by Israel on the Abu al-Duhur Military Airbase, located in northern Syria, east of Idlib.
In a statement issued by the Ministry, it was stated that the attacks were "strongly" condemned, noting that Israel continues its actions targeting Syria's infrastructure and military capabilities.
''Israel recklessly continues its attacks that target Syria's infrastructure and capabilities, and violate its territorial integrity and unity.''
The statement emphasized that Israel's attacks on Syria are "gaining a new dimension with each passing day." The international community was urged to adopt a more decisive stance to end this aggression and to ensure accountability for actions that violate international law.
It had been reported that Israeli military warplanes targeted the Abu al-Duhur Military Airport in the early hours of the morning. No information was shared regarding whether there were any casualties or injuries in the attacks.
A Syrian official reported that 8 strikes were carried out on the airport, and that in addition to the runway, an idle structure in a hangar was also targeted.
