Former Trump advisor suggests Israel 'drop napalm bombs'
Matthew RJ Brodsky, who advised the former US President Donald Trump's administration on Middle East issues, suggested that Israel should "drop napalm bombs" on Irish soldiers serving in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) who have not withdrawn from the region.

Brodsky, who served as a Middle East advisor to the national security team of Trump, who was president from 2016 to 2020, drew backlash for a post on his X account regarding Irish troops who announced they would not withdraw from their mission area in Lebanon.
In his post, Brodsky stated, "Israel should carpet bomb where the Irish are and then drop napalm on them."
Brodsky, who deleted the post after it drew intense backlash on X, later had his account suspended by the company for "violating publishing policies."

Meanwhile, Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris, who is in Washington to meet with US President Joe Biden, commented on the matter.
Harris stated that Irish soldiers are doing a great job in the peacekeeping force in Lebanon and that Brodsky's post was a "disgusting, inappropriate and despicable" statement.
Ireland had rejected Israel's demand to withdraw its troops serving in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
Brodsky's name is cited as one of the individuals who advised the White House national security team on topics such as Middle East peace and Palestinian-Israeli peace during the Trump era.
