Former Ukrainian MP killed in Russia
The Russian Investigative Committee reported that former Ukrainian Parliament member Ilya Kiva died as a result of an armed attack in the Moscow region.

In a statement from the Russian Investigative Committee, it was stated that former Ukrainian MP Kiva was killed in the village of Suponevo in the Moscow region.
DIED AT THE SCENE
The statement said, "According to preliminary findings, an unidentified person opened fire on Kiva with a weapon in a park in the village of Suponevo. Kiva died at the scene due to the wounds he sustained." The statement, which noted that an investigation into the incident has been launched, added that necessary steps are being taken to identify the perpetrators.
THREAT TO RUSSIA FROM MINISTER
Andriy Yusov, spokesperson for the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, stated in a local television program, "Such a fate will befall other traitors of Ukraine and the henchmen of the (Russian President) Putin regime."
WHO IS ILYA KIVA?
Born in 1977, Ilya Kiva served as a member of the Ukrainian Parliament from the pro-Russian Opposition Platform — For Life party between 2019 and 2022.
Having left Ukraine in January 2022, Kiva took a stance in favor of Russia's actions in Ukraine and was critical of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
