France issues travel warning to citizens for the Middle East

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement advising its citizens to avoid traveling to Iran, Israel, Lebanon, and Palestinian territories due to the recent tensions in the Middle East.

Following the United States, European countries have issued travel warnings to their citizens due to the rising tension between Israel and Iran in recent times.

In the statement released by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a travel warning was issued for French citizens. The statement advised French citizens to refrain from traveling to Iran, Israel, Lebanon, and Palestinian territories.

French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejourne also announced that French officials in these countries are prohibited from carrying out their duties and requested that the families of diplomatic staff in Tehran return to France.

WARNING FROM THE UK TO ITS CITIZENS

In addition to France, the UK Foreign Office also issued a travel warning to its citizens. The statement warned British citizens against traveling to Gaza, Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Tel Aviv.

Furthermore, the statement noted that travel should be avoided to areas near the Gaza border, as well as the Israel-Lebanon, Israel-Syria, and Israel-Egypt borders, and the Golan Heights.
