Day 6 of the Israel-Iran war... Retaliatory attacks have begun

From the early hours of June 18, attacks between Iran and Israel continued.

The Israeli military announced that it had carried out a series of airstrikes around Tehran.

The Reuters news agency, citing Iranian media, also reported that explosions were heard in the capital Tehran and the city of Karaj to its west.

Speaking to the official Iranian news agency IRNA, Hossein Abbasi, the District Governor of Varamin, south of Tehran, stated that an Israeli F-35 fighter jet was destroyed and crashed in the vicinity of Varamin. ISRAEL CARRIED OUT ATTACKS ON 21 PROVINCES

Iranian Red Crescent President Morteza Salimi stated that Israel carried out attacks on 21 provinces and that approximately 1,000 people were temporarily placed in shelters.

Salimi said, "21 provinces have been affected since the beginning of the attacks. Approximately 1,000 people have been temporarily sheltered."

Stating that 3,667 personnel have been involved in this process, Salimi noted that 983 teams are operating in debris removal, emergency medical services, and search and rescue efforts.

The Iranian official stated that 145 injured people have been transferred to hospitals by the Red Crescent so far, but did not provide clear information on the total number of dead and injured.

KHAMENEI ANNOUNCED THEY WILL NOT RECONCILE WITH ISRAEL

Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei stated that they will show no mercy to Israel.

In a message shared on his X account, Khamenei noted that they have no intention of making a peace agreement with the Tel Aviv administration, saying, "Strict measures must be taken against the terrorist Zionist entity. We will never reconcile with the Zionists."

WRECKAGE OF ISRAELI UAV DISPLAYED

Iran released images of an Israeli "Hermes 900" armed unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that was reportedly shot down in the eastern region of Isfahan.

According to state television news, air defense units shot down an Israeli UAV in the east of Isfahan province.

It was noted that the UAV, which was recorded as being of the Hermes 900 type, had 8 missiles on it that were described as advanced.

Since June 13, when Israel's attacks on Iran began, Iranian sources have announced that they have shot down 4 Israeli warplanes and many UAVs and armed UAVs. However, no images of the planes had been shared.

The US Department of State announced that due to the conflict between Israel and Iran and in order to comply with the instructions of the Israeli Home Front Command, the US Embassy in Jerusalem and the consular section in Tel Aviv will remain closed as of today until Friday.

In the statement made by the Embassy, it was stated, "The US Embassy has instructed all US government employees and their family members to remain at or near their residences until further notice."

IRAN DESTROYED 14 UAVS USED BY MOSSAD

According to the Iranian Labour News Agency (ILNA), Iranian Police Spokesperson Saeed Montazerolmehdi stated that 14 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) assessed to be used by Israeli agents were detected and destroyed. The Iranian spokesperson noted that workshops producing "suicide" UAVs, drones, and explosive materials used by Israeli agents were detected in Tehran, Alborz, and Isfahan, and that 14 UAVs were destroyed there.

Stating that 3 vehicles carrying UAVs and explosives were also seized in Alborz and Tehran, Montazerolmehdi stated that the Iraqi police also detected 3 vehicles loaded with UAVs at the border and captured their perpetrators.

Iran's official news agency IRNA published a written statement made by the intelligence unit of the Lorestan Revolutionary Guards Corps. The statement reported that 5 people, who were alleged to be operating "via social media" on behalf of the Israeli foreign intelligence service MOSSAD in Iran's Lorestan province, were detained.

The 5 people operating on social media are accused of inciting anxiety and fear among the public and undermining the regime during Israel's attacks on Iran. In the same province, 18 people were detained by security forces yesterday on similar charges.

WILL THE US ENTER THE WAR?

US and Israeli media outlets reported that the Washington administration could enter the war against Iran. CNN International, stating that US President Donald Trump has not yet decided what step to take in the Middle East, pointed out that Republicans are increasingly voicing that "there is no option other than entering a war with Iran."

In reports in the Israeli media, it was noted that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is striving to persuade the US to enter the war. In the reports, information was shared that Netanyahu, who argues that US bombardment is necessary to eliminate Iran's nuclear capacity, continues his meetings with Trump.

The Israeli military claimed that it countered an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that infiltrated the Galilee region in the north of the country. In the statement made by the military, it was stated that the air force countered an enemy UAV after sirens were activated in several towns in the Galilee region this morning "upon the detection of an infiltration."

In the statement, the name of the party that sent the UAV in question was not included, and it was only stated that the UAV came from the east. The Israeli Air Force had claimed that it countered 2 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the Dead Sea region in the east of the country last night.

It was reported that after Israeli air defense systems failed to counter hypersonic missiles fired from Iran last night, a fire broke out and a building was damaged as a result of several missiles falling into Israel. While the Israeli army radio report did not specify the locations where the missiles fell, the İsrael Hayom newspaper noted that according to initial determinations, at least two missiles fell in Jerusalem and the Sharon region near Tel Aviv.

In the report of Channel 12, it was stated that a building in the central part of Israel was damaged as a result of Iran's missile attacks, and that fire crews intervened in 20 vehicles that caught fire. In the report, it was noted that missile fragments fell on a building in the northern region, and that many fires broke out as a result of Iranian missiles or fragments falling in open areas.

ISRAELIS SPENT THE NIGHT IN SHELTERS

Due to Iran's retaliatory attacks, some Israelis had to spend the night in shelters. The Israeli government had reported that more than 750 Israelis had lost their homes so far in the conflict that began on June 13.

ISRAEL STRUCK IRAN'S FACTORIES

The Israeli military reported that it had carried out new airstrikes on Iran. In the statement made by the military, it was claimed that Iranian military factories were hit.

In the statement, it was stated that more than 50 warplanes participated in the attacks carried out last night. Providing information that the airstrike continued for several hours, the Israeli military also announced that among the targeted military facilities were centers used in missile manufacturing.

In the statement, which stated that a "series of intelligence-based attacks" were carried out in Tehran and its surroundings with more than 50 aircraft in the last few hours, it was noted that the centrifuge production facility used in uranium enrichment in the Iranian capital was targeted. In this context, it was claimed that an attack was carried out on a facility where raw materials and components for the assembly of surface-to-surface missiles for Iran's missile capacity are produced, a facility producing air defense missile components, and some weapons production facilities.

ISRAEL STRUCK A UNIVERSITY

Israel attacked Imam Hossein University, affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards Corps, located near the Hakimieh neighborhood in the northeast of Tehran. Smoke rose from the region after the attack.

The Iranian military issued an evacuation warning for the "Zionist" settlement area of Neve Tzedek in Tel Aviv after Israel issued an evacuation notice for an area in Tehran. The announcement included the phrases, "The occupiers must leave this occupied territory immediately."

ISRAEL LAUNCHED A NEW ATTACK

The Israeli military announced that it had launched a new wave of airstrikes on the Iranian capital, Tehran. In a short written statement from the Israeli military, it was stated that "the Israeli Air Force carried out a series of attacks in the Tehran region."

Shortly before this statement, the Israeli military had threatened an attack and asked for a large area in Tehran to be evacuated. On the other hand, the Israeli military continued its attacks on different points of Iran, especially the capital Tehran, throughout the day.

Iran retaliated against Israel's airstrikes by activating its hypersonic missiles. The missiles fired from Iran targeted military facilities across Israel, as well as Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa.
