Iranian media reported that more than 250 attacks took place in various regions of Iran, primarily in the capital Tehran and Tabriz, and that numerous military targets were struck in the initial assault.
Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said in a statement regarding the attacks, "The Zionist regime has prepared a bitter fate for itself with this crime and will certainly face this fate."

REVOLUTIONARY GUARDS CORPS COMMANDER HOSSEIN SALAMI KILLED
Iranian state television announced that the Natanz nuclear facility was targeted in the Israeli attacks. It was reported that Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps Commander Hossein Salami, as well as nuclear scientists Fereydoon Abbasi, former head of the Atomic Energy Organization, and Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, were also killed.
Iranian General Staff: They will pay a heavy price
Iranian General Staff Spokesperson Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi said they would respond harshly to the Israeli attacks.
Speaking to Iranian state television, Shekarchi evaluated Israel's attacks on his country.
Shekarchi said, "Israel carried out its attacks on Iran with the help of the US. They will pay a heavy price. Let them expect a harsh response from the Iranian armed forces."
The Iranian official stated that some commanders lost their lives in the Israeli attack.
