Turkish citizens return to Turkey from Iran! Activity at border crossings
Following the airstrikes launched by Israel against Iran, Turkish citizens in Iran have begun returning to Turkey through the Esendere Border Gate. As Turkish citizens return home due to the rising tension in the region, the density at gas stations in Iran has drawn attention.

Due to the tension between Israel and the Islamic Republic of Iran, several cities were struck as a result of air strikes carried out by Israel against the Iranian state, which shares a border with Turkey. Turkish citizens who were in Iran for business and travel purposes have begun their entry procedures into Turkey through the Esendere Border Gate in the Yüksekova district of Hakkari.

Israel launched attacks in the early hours of the morning against Tehran, Tabriz, the Natanz nuclear facility in Isfahan, as well as the cities of Lorestan and Kermanshah. Following this event, while it was noted that queues formed at gas stations despite it being an official holiday in Iran, Turkish citizens entered Turkey through the Esendere border gate. The lack of congestion at the Esendere border gate did not go unnoticed.
Stating that he hopes this tension will end soon, Zeki Gürdal said, "We are coming from the city of Urmia. We learned in the morning that Israel had struck Iran. It is a situation we do not approve of. We returned from Iran and entered Turkey. We saw that there were vehicle queues at the gas stations. Hopefully, this tension will end completely in a short time."
