German Chancellor Scholz tests positive for Covid-19
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has announced that he has tested positive for Covid-19 but will continue to work. However, Scholz has canceled his meeting scheduled for tomorrow with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated in a post on his X account that he has tested positive for Covid-19, expects a mild course of the illness, and will continue to work from his desk while following isolation measures.

Government Spokesperson Steffen Hebestreit told reporters in Berlin that Chancellor Scholz's in-person meetings for today and tomorrow, including his scheduled meeting with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico tomorrow, have been canceled.
MEETINGS WILL NOT BE HELD IN PERSON
Hebestreit emphasized that Chancellor Scholz will continue his official duties via telephone and video conference, but that there will be no in-person meetings.
