Germany condemns Russia for violating Polish airspace

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz condemned the violation of Polish airspace by Russian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Chancellor Merz stated, "Russia has endangered human life in a NATO and EU member country.

This reckless act is part of a long chain of provocations in the Baltic Sea region and on NATO's eastern flank."

Stating that Germany condemns this aggressive act by Russia in the strongest possible terms, Merz emphasized that it was a positive development that Poland, together with its NATO allies, was able to detect and neutralize this threat in a timely manner.

Merz added, "NATO is ready to defend itself and will remain ready."
