Google fires employee who protested Israel
It has been reported that the US technology company Google has fired an engineer who protested against Israel at a technology event held in New York.

A Google spokesperson stated in a press release that earlier this week, an employee disrupted an official company-sponsored event and prevented a colleague from delivering their presentation.
"THIS BEHAVIOR IS NOT ACCEPTABLE"
The statement read, "Regardless of the issue, this behavior is not acceptable, and the employee's employment has been terminated for violating our policies."
At the event held in New York on Monday, a Google Cloud engineer interrupted an Israeli executive's speech by saying, "I refuse to build technology that empowers genocide, apartheid, or surveillance."
