Greek opposition reacts to Netanyahu
In Greece, the main opposition party, the Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA), has described Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis's decision to meet only with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and not with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas as a "strategic mistake."

In a statement released by SYRIZA, it was stated that Mitsotakis's meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in Israel yesterday did not prevent him from meeting with Palestinian President Abbas.
The statement noted, "The Palestinian President was received in Cairo by the prime ministers of Spain, Italy, and the UK, as well as the President of the European Council.
The fact that Mitsotakis only met with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu does not constitute an obstacle to also holding a meeting with the Palestinian President. This is a strategic mistake," it said.
"MUST IMPLEMENT AN ACTIVE FOREIGN POLICY"
The statement emphasized that Greece should implement an active foreign policy aimed at defending peace and international law in the region, adding that adopting the role of an outpost for the West is not logical.
Yesterday, Mitsotakis met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel and expressed his deep sorrow and discomfort over the "terrorist attacks carried out by Hamas against Israel."
Netanyahu, for his part, thanked Greece for its support for Israel, saying, "This is a war of barbarism against civilization. We are on the side of civilization, and we must all unite against Hamas, which is essentially 'ISIS'."
