Hamas announces number of hostages it holds

According to Reuters, Hamas stated, "There are captives of other nationalities. We will release them when conditions permit."
As the conflict with Israel continues, Hamas announced that it is holding between 200 and 250 people as hostages in Gaza. Claiming that it is treating the hostages in accordance with humanitarian law, Hamas announced that it would "release them when conditions permit" those captives of different nationalities it holds.
The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, claimed that "the hostages are being treated in accordance with the law."
"WE WILL RELEASE THEM"
Hamas also issued a warning to "other countries not to participate" in the ongoing war with Israel.
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had raised the possibility of releasing civilians during his meeting with Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh in the evening hours.
