Hamas announces two Israeli hostages killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza
The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced that Israeli hostages Yossi Sharabi and Itay Svirsky were killed in Israeli air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip.

Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades shared a video on their Telegram account featuring 26-year-old Israeli hostage Noa Argamani, who stated that 53-year-old hostage Sharabi and 38-year-old Svirsky were killed in Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip.
WOUNDED HOSTAGE COULD NOT BE SAVED
Argamani stated that the building where she, Sharabi, and Svirsky were being held was targeted by an Israeli F-16 fighter jet, leaving them trapped under the rubble. She noted that they were rescued from the debris by the Qassam Brigades, but that Sharabi, who was pulled out wounded, could not be saved.
Pointing out that Svirsky was shot and killed by Israeli forces during their transfer to another location two days later, and that she herself was wounded in the head, Argamani called on the Israeli government to stop the war and ensure their rescue so they could return to their families.
The video released by the Qassam Brigades also included footage of the lifeless bodies of Sharabi and Svirsky.
Last month, it was revealed that 3 Israeli hostage soldiers in Gaza were accidentally shot and killed by "friendly fire" after their comrades mistook them for a "threat."
According to the Israeli army, there were still 136 Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas, which conditions the start of hostage exchange negotiations on the Israeli army stopping its attacks on the Gaza Strip, demands the release of all Palestinians in Israeli prisons in exchange for the hostages it holds.
ISRAELI HOSTAGES IN GAZA
The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, launched a comprehensive attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, citing "continuous violations against Palestinians and sacred values, especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque," during which many Israelis were taken hostage.
During the "humanitarian pause" in the Gaza conflict, which began on November 24 for 4 days and was later extended for 3 more days, 81 Israeli and 240 Palestinian hostages were released in a mutual exchange.
