Hamas approves ceasefire proposal

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty had stated that his country, in coordination with Qatar and the United States, was making intensive efforts to return to a proposal for a 60-day ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
In his speech at a press conference held in Cairo, Abdelatty said, "Egypt is currently making a major effort in full cooperation with the Qataris and the Americans."
Pointing out that the main goal is to return to the previously made proposal, Abdelatty stated, "The main goal is to return to the original proposal: a 60-day ceasefire, the release of some hostages and Palestinian prisoners, and ensuring the entry of unhindered, unconditional humanitarian and medical aid into Gaza."
