Hamas challenges Israel: No negotiations until hostages are released

Mahmoud Mardawi, a Hamas official, stated in a post on his social media account that Hamas will not conduct any negotiations with Israel, neither directly nor through mediators (Egypt, Qatar), until the Palestinians who were supposed to be released in exchange for 6 Israeli hostages are freed.
Mardawi stated, "Mediators must force Israel to comply with the agreement. Israel is trying to gain time in its favor by delaying the process."

Hamas Political Bureau member Izzat al-Rishq also said in a statement earlier today that Israel's decision to postpone the release of Palestinian prisoners is an "indication of its policies of evading the agreement and stalling the process."
Rishq argued that Israel's justification for delaying the release of the hostages, based on the claim that the "handover ceremony was humiliating," does not reflect the truth.
Egypt and Qatar continue to play a mediating role in ending the conflicts in Gaza and in the hostage exchange. However, Hamas has emphasized that Israel must comply with the agreements during this process and has demanded that the mediators increase their pressure.
