Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh is making his second official visit to Iran since the conflict began on October 7.

Haniyeh, who arrived in the capital Tehran to hold talks with Iranian officials, was welcomed by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Haniyeh and Abdollahian held bilateral and inter-delegation meetings.

The meeting, which took place one day after the United Nations Security Council adopted a resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, addressed issues such as a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, lifting the blockade on Gaza, and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.
