Hamas's Gaza leader Khalil al-Hayya made statements regarding the ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and Hamas. Al-Hayya, who led the Hamas delegation in the negotiations, said they had received guarantees that the war would end.

Stating that the agreement also includes the opening of the Rafah Border Crossing in both directions, al-Hayya announced that 250 Palestinians currently serving life sentences in Israeli prisons, 1,700 Palestinians arrested since the start of the war, and all Palestinian women and children detained by Israel will be released.
