Hamas sends message of thanks to Turkey: "Great participation in Haniyeh's funeral"
Hamas has thanked Turkey for offering its condolences from the very first moment following the assassination of Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh in Iran, and for its participation in the funeral with a large delegation.

In a written statement on its website, Hamas thanked all national leaders, governments, and individuals who offered their condolences following the assassination of Hamas Political Bureau leader Ismail Haniyeh.
Thanking Turkey for its condolences and high level of participation in the funeral ceremony, Hamas stated, "We thank the President, government, parliament, and people of Turkey, who offered their condolences from the very first moments as a President and as officials, and who provided the largest participation in the funeral ceremony at both official and public levels."
The statement also thanked the President and people of Iran, as well as Qatar, for receiving the body and for the burial.
In its statement, Hamas declared, "We declare that we will remain loyal to the blood of our martyrs and the sacrifices of our people, and to their hopes and aspirations for the liberation of the land and the establishment of a fully sovereign and independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital."
