Israel announced that since October 7, 1,200 Israelis, including 363 soldiers—44 of whom died in clashes within the Gaza Strip and 6 on the northern border with Lebanon—have been killed, and 5,132 people have been injured. According to Israel, there are 239 Israeli captives in the hands of the Qassam Brigades.
