The Israeli military did not delay in responding to Iran's attack, which began at 10:14. Israel struck the Red Crescent building in Tehran. In addition, Israel hit the Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, the Iranian State Television building, the Ministry of Energy building, and police and intelligence offices.
However, the most notable strike was on Evin Prison, where Iran's political prisoners are held. The prison's gate, in particular, was struck.
Meanwhile, following the attack carried out by the US with B-2 bombers, the Israeli military had announced that it had once again struck the Fordo nuclear facility. However, this statement was later corrected to 'the road leading to the Fordo facility was struck'.
Israel stated that it targeted the access road to the Fordo facility, and therefore no personnel could approach the road to assess the damage or conduct an inspection.
IAEA chief Rafael Grossi said in a statement on Monday that the US bombing had likely caused "very significant" damage to Iran's Fordo uranium enrichment facility, but that no one could yet know the extent of it.
RETALIATION FOR IRAN'S ATTACK
One of the missiles launched by Iran hit Ashdod. While two hits were recorded in northern Israel and two in Haifa, one missile also hit south of Tel Aviv. In total, missiles fell on 7 locations.
Due to damage at an electrical facility hit in Ashdod, power was cut in the region. The Israeli press stated that the damage has been repaired.
The targeted structure or person has not yet been identified. The Israeli press reported that 15 missiles were launched in 3 waves, but it has not yet become clear exactly where these missiles were targeting.
