HDZ's 3rd term victory: New government formed in Croatia
In a vote held in the 151-seat National Parliament in Croatia's capital, Zagreb, the new government received a vote of confidence with 79 'yes' votes against 61 'no' votes from lawmakers.

One of the deputies attending the session abstained from voting.
Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, who received the vote of confidence and will serve for a 4-year term, took the oath of office and began his duties.
The names of the ministers who will serve in the new coalition government formed by the center-right Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), which emerged victorious from the election, and the far-right "Homeland Movement" are as follows:

HDZ'S 3RD TERM VICTORY
In the April 17 general election in Croatia, the HDZ declared victory by securing 61 seats in parliament.
The "Rivers of Justice" coalition, formed by the Social Democratic Party (SDP), the Center Party, the People's Party-Reformists, the Civic-Liberal Alliance (GLAS), the Croatian Peasant Party (HSS), and the Party with First and Last Name (SSIP), came in second with 42 seats.
The "Homeland Movement" coalition entered the National Parliament with 14 deputies, while the "Most and partners" coalition entered with 11, the "We Can!" coalition with 10, the Istrian Democratic Assembly (IDS) with 2, the Independent North Platform with 2, and the Focus-Republic coalition with 1 deputy.
There are also 8 deputies from minority parties in the National Parliament.
The HDZ, which also won the general elections in 2016 and 2020 in Croatia, the youngest member of the European Union (EU), declared its third-term victory with its success in this election.
