Former Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has held the US responsible for the deaths of Iranian President Raisi and the accompanying Foreign Minister Abdollahian.
In his statement, Zarif said that the Iranian nation has faced major events over the past 45 years and that they will overcome this tragic incident as well.
Recalling other fatal incidents in addition to the helicopter crash, Zarif stated, "It is the US that caused the martyrdom of the president and his companions by imposing sanctions on the sale of the aviation industry to Iran, and the crime committed by the US will be recorded in the minds of the Iranian people and in history."
