Hezbollah Brigades commander killed in airstrike in Iraq

It has been reported that Abu Hassan al-Fureiji, a high-ranking commander of the Shiite militia group Hezbollah Brigades, lost his life in an airstrike carried out in the Babil province of central Iraq.

According to information obtained from security sources, a vehicle belonging to the Hezbollah Brigades, which operates under the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), was targeted by an airstrike while traveling within the borders of Babil.

As a result of the attack, field commander Abu Hassan al-Fureiji, who was inside the vehicle, and another person accompanying him lost their lives at the scene.

Following the military operations launched by the US and Israel against Iran, direct attacks have also been initiated against pro-Iranian Shiite armed groups in Iraq.
