In a statement made by the Israel Defense Forces, it was reported that Hezbollah carried out an attack on Israel on Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), the holiest day for Jews, which is being observed today.
The statement said, "Throughout the weekend during which Yom Kippur was observed, approximately 320 projectiles fired by Hezbollah crossed from Lebanon into Israel."
