Following the intensification of Israel's attacks on Lebanon, Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem made his first statement since the start of US and Israeli attacks on Iran. Qassem stated that they would resist the Israeli-US aggression and would not surrender.
Stating that Israel's recent attacks on Lebanon were pre-planned, Qassem said, "We are facing aggression. Our option is to resist it, no matter what sacrifices are required, and not to surrender. We will not hesitate to defend our rights and we will not surrender to the enemy. We will fight against the aggression; this is a vital defense for us and will continue until we achieve our goals."
Meanwhile, Hezbollah engaged in clashes with Israeli forces near the city of Khiam in southern Lebanon today.
