According to a statement from the Greek Prime Minister's Office, the phone call between Mitsotakis and Blinken addressed the situation in Gaza, developments in the Red Sea, and the threats facing freedom of navigation in the region.

During the meeting, bilateral relations were examined ahead of the US-Greece Strategic Dialogue meeting planned to be held in Washington in February.

Government Spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis, while answering journalists' questions today, stated that Mitsotakis is ill with the H1N1 virus and that, for this reason, it is unlikely that his recently planned visit to the US will take place.
