In Russia, the government program aimed at promoting domestically produced electric cars will continue in 2026. First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov announced that Russian-made electric vehicles will continue to have the right to free passage on highways and bridges next year.
This incentive program, which was launched approximately two and a half years ago, is updated and continued every year. Among the government's priority goals are encouraging citizens to switch to electric vehicles, promoting investment by taxi companies in domestic electric cars for their fleets, and contributing to the development of fast-charging infrastructure on toll roads.
Many vehicles can benefit from the application, including Evolute, Moskvich, EM-Rus, GAZ, and AvtoVAZ brand electric cars produced in the country, as well as the AmberAuto A5 model produced at the Avtotor factory in Kaliningrad.
Officials emphasize that the total exemption provided to vehicle owners through the free passage support reached 40 million rubles by the end of 2025. In this way, the goal is to both strengthen the domestic industry and promote the spread of environmentally friendly transportation.
